Ingredients:
- 1 lb green cabbage, thinly shredded
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a 12-inch cast iron skillet or large stainless steel sauté pan over medium-high heat until the butter stops foaming and smells nutty.
- Add the minced garlic to the butter and stir constantly for 30–60 seconds until fragrant and golden, ensuring it does not burn.
- Toss in the shredded cabbage and stir vigorously to coat. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until the cabbage wilts slightly and develops golden-brown charred edges.
- Stir in the salt and pepper. Remove from heat immediately while cabbage remains tender-crisp.
