Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs center-cut salmon fillet
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh dill or thyme, finely chopped
- 6 thin lemon slices
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil on a rimmed baking sheet and brush the center with oil.
- Place the salmon fillet in the center of the foil. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped herbs.
- Pour the lemon herb glaze over the salmon, ensuring the top and sides are well coated. Season evenly with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Layer the lemon slices across the top of the salmon fillet.
- Bring the long sides of the foil together over the fish and fold down several times to create a seal. Fold the ends inward to create an airtight packet, leaving a small amount of space inside for steam circulation.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
