Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) baking powder
- 2 oz (60g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 24 small square chocolate pieces
- 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 tube (15g) black decorating icing
- 24 small pieces of yellow sour candy belts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until combined; beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder, stirring by hand until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly soft.
- Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan, then lift by parchment paper to a cutting board.
- Slice brownies into 24 equal small squares.
- Pipe a small dollop of black icing or melted chocolate on the center of each square and press a chocolate square on top.
- Pipe a thin line of black icing from the center of the chocolate square to the edge, attaching a piece of yellow candy to the end as a tassel.
