Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 oz smoked turkey sausage, sliced into 1/4-inch coins
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until the honey is fully integrated and set aside.
- Heat the avocado oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sausage coins in a single layer and cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes until edges are mahogany-colored and crisp.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove both the sausage and shrimp from the pan and set aside on a plate.
- In the same pan, toss in the broccoli florets. Pour in the water and immediately cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam until tender-crisp.
- Remove the lid and return the sausage and shrimp to the pan. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture and stir constantly for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until the sauce reduces into a velvety glaze.
