Ingredients:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz grenadine
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 5 oz Sprite
- 3 maraschino cherries
- 1 lime wheel
- 1 cup ice
Instructions:
- Chill 1 highball glass. Note: A cold glass prevents the ice from melting the second it hits the surface.
- Fill 1 highball glass with 1 cup ice until the cubes reach the brim.
- Pour 2 oz vodka over the ice. Note: Pouring the spirit first helps it chill instantly.
- Add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. Note: This ensures the acid is integrated before the sugar goes in.
- Measure 1 oz grenadine and pour it directly into the center. Watch as the red syrup sinks to the bottom.
- Top the glass with 5 oz Sprite. Note: Pour slowly to keep the carbonation active.
- Stir very gently once or twice with a bar spoon. Until the color just starts to swirl but doesn't fully homogenize.
- Drop 3 maraschino cherries into the glass.
- Slide 1 lime wheel between the ice and the glass wall.
- Serve immediately while the bubbles are still snapping and popping.
