Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs fresh salmon fillet
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic until the oil is fully emulsified and the sauce is creamy.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Generously apply the honey mustard glaze over the top of the salmon fillets, ensuring an even coating that covers the surface.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  5. Remove from the oven and allow the fish to rest for 3-5 minutes. The residual heat will bring the final temperature to a perfect 145°F (63°C) for a flaky, tender texture.
