Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp (56g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves (12g) garlic, minced finely
- ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder
- 2 tbsp (16g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
Instructions:
- Melt the butter over medium-low heat. Once bubbling, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and translucent, but not brown. Stir in the garlic powder.
- Sprinkle the flour over the garlic butter and whisk constantly for about 60 seconds until a pale gold color and nutty aroma develop.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream in three stages, whisking vigorously between each addition to ensure a smooth emulsion.
- Continue simmering for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
