Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp dried rubbed sage
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, maple syrup, and all dried spices. Mix until seasonings are evenly distributed, avoiding overworking the meat to prevent a rubbery texture.
- Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a cylinder roughly 3 inches long and 1 inch thick.
- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the links in the pan with space between them and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, rotating occasionally, until mahogany-colored and crispy.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) on a meat thermometer, then remove from heat immediately.
