Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cake flour, sifted
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 oz freeze-dried strawberry powder
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cubed
  • 4 large egg whites, room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.25 cup full fat sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 20 Golden Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 3 oz strawberry gelatin powder
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz full-fat cream cheese, cold brick-style
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, slightly cool
  • 5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pulse 20 Golden Oreo cookies in a processor until they look like coarse gravel.
  3. Mix the cookie rubble with 3 oz strawberry gelatin and 0.5 cup melted butter.
  4. Bake the crunch mixture on a sheet pan for 8 minutes until fragrant and slightly darkened.
  5. Let this cool completely to reach full crispness.
